Has Anyone Had Issues With Back Pain?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

My 18 year old son has been having lower back pain. This morning he had a seizure and once he came out of it he was in extreme pain in his lower back. I’m sure the convulsions caused his muscles to stiffen up or twist. I’m not sure if this lower back pain is common in people with epilepsy or if it was caused by something else.

That happens to me also. I don't know when it's coming on. I just drop, eyes open & confused, seize and everything hurts. I usually always hit my head hard.

Better to see a neurologist just to be on the safe side because if its something and its not taken care then when u find out it sometimes very late

I often have lower back pain because one of my meds makes my joints hurt and really sore. After bad tonic clonics my back and most my body hurts too. I hope your son feels better quick. Im always here to talk
