exactly. Mine is due to a rare brain tumor referred to as an HH tumor. I was born with it. It is about 1 in every 200,000. I couldn't get it cut out because it would damage other parts of the brain. So, first I had radiation surgery, also known as GammaKnife at Cleveland clinic(It was a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE)!!! Last year I had a new surgery. Only 6 cities and Toronto currently have it. I had it done at The U of Michigan. I had to wait about a year for the Machine to get there and get set up. I was the 1st one with an HH tumor to get it done there. After, I was about 80-85% seizure free. So I had it done this June 15th again. Since, I haven't had another seizure yet. My dr.'s and I are shooting for 100%. We have talked about a 3rd if necessary, but if it's NOT safe, my surgeon won't do it again. She thinks she got everything this time. The U of M has a story about the surgery on their facebook and twitter websites!!! It consisted of getting a 5 1/2 hole drilled in my head and getting a laser shot to my tumor to burn the nucleus. The whole surgery took about 6 hours!!!
