Does Anyone Have A Home Remedy They Use For Migraines?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have headaches/migraines just about every day. I drink energy drinks, but have found out they don’t work good, but I do have more energy! Lol! Green Tea with Gingseng helps pretty good, but that’s about it for me as far as finding any drink that helps. Any help/suggestions would be very much apprciated...Thanks in advance!:)

I have a little eye mask that is gel, I can put it in the fridge or freeze & it seems to help relieve some of the pressure. I also go to the chiropractor to get my neck & upper back adjusted. Other than that I just try to drink plenty of water. I still have headaches & migraines often but these things seem to help lessen the pain.

Perhaps its the energy drinks- they contain caffeine, and when you are in a habit you can get withdrawl symptoms like headaches when you havent had one that day. I enjoy a daily coffee but on days i skip i get a headache. Try cut reduce, or have less regularly. You can also get sugar withdrawls that causes headaches.

Lavender and peppermint essential oils have helped me occasionally with headaches. Didn't do much for the migraines, but it would be worth a try. I usually have to go to something heavier duty like imitrex for a migraine. Ice packs help too. It doesn't get rid of it by itself, but it is soothing and reduces the intensity of the pain.
