I am curious about this too! I personally have felt normal before each seizure I’ve had.. except for one time.
That one time, I was feeling fine until I had to unlock the password on my Apple laptop—I went to type it in, and realized I’d completely forgot what my password was (please note that I’d had the same password for over 3 years at this point, and probably typed it in at least 10 times a day... it was very unusual for me to forget it; it’s almost like forgetting your own phone number or email address).
I called my mom to ask what the password was, because I knew she knew, and she told me. I hung up, typed in the password on my computer, and immediately had a grand mal seizure.
In conclusion: the only “out of place feeling” I’ve ever experienced before a seizure was memory loss/confusion! But that was only one time.
I tend to smell or taste something before having a seizure. Family told I take a deep breath sometimes before seizure.
It doesn’t matter if I’m in good mood or bad mood, my seizures will hit me from out of the blue.
I get a metal taste in my mouth prior to having a seizures, twitches and I feel like my bones are shaking on the inside despite there being no physical shaking at this point. When I’m on the brink of the seizure I feel like I’m zooming out, like i can see what’s going on but it’s at a distance and getting further away. Then I feel like I’m turning, generally to my left and then everything goes black.
I usually feel anxious & have a deja vu feeling. My right hand starts to feel really weird, I tap & move my fingers. I’ve been trying my hardest to warn people but right before I can’t seem to talk.
