Driving License Coming Up
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi Guys! I’m back and I feel much better and so much confortable with myself! Thanks to all of you that gave me great advice. Anyways I’m soon gonna get the chance to be able to drive and since I have epilepsy I’m getting nervous about the fact that because I have epilepsy they may not let me even try to get the driving license. I love driving and I’ve been seizure free for over 2 years now. Any advice?

YOU HAVE EVERY RIGHT, long before the two years. I've been driving for thirty years off and on. Don't even let yourself think that. You are not your seizures~

I'm getting my first licence on my birthday, July. I'll ask my doctor for a letter as proof of seizure free. If they deny it, well I got the paper :)

Since you have been free for 2 whole years, I don't see why they will deny you your driving license. But if they deny it, you have all the right to fight their decision.
