Any Advice For Getting Sleep While Traveling Across Time Zones?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I'll be traveling from the US to Europe in a few weeks for a 10 day vacation and am looking for advice on minimizing my sleep disruption. I know that if I lose too much sleep I'll start to have a hard time focusing, have muscle spasms, and then might go a seizure. And, seizures really mess up a nice family vacation.

I would bring sleep eye pads to help block the light when trying to sleep. If you want to reduce sounds and noises, you my want to bring ear plugs. Another idea is , if you enjoy music and have a cell phone with a radio app., you can put on a pair of ear buds and listen to your favorite radio station.

Another thing you may want to think of bringing , is Getting some Dramamine from your pharmacy. It will help reduce the chances of you getting fly sickness. Then buy a pack of gum of your liking to help reduce the popping in your ears , when taking off and landing.

I just make sure the family understands that when I have to take a break, I may not look like do. If your situation slows things down, don't feel guilty! That's nearly ruined my life.
