Memory Loss

Had 2 seizures on Tuesday. Then had a doctors appointment on Wednesday. When I arrived at the doctors they were confirming my address and phone number and I drew a blank. I could not remember my address or phone number. Have you ever had that happen A day after seizure? This is my first time having memory loss with a seizure ever. I have not had a seizure in probably 10 years so this is really weird as I approach my 40th birthday. I’m starting to believe my friends when they say everything goes… read more

After my first big seizures i cohldnt remember my pin number for my bank account. Thankfully my husband was there and that was after a week! It was silly really because I remembered my 16 digit online account! I had money one way or another lol. Don't worry too much about it, it comes back to you

So so many of times I've forgotten name my own age, appointments etc. So to make it easier for me I ask the office to call me for reminders and I also write things down, I gave up on remembering names but I'm good at places and faces. One time I had an awful seizure, couldn't remember the name but remember the face they cursed me out thought I was being funny, after that I just stay to the people who understand me. πŸ˜‰πŸ’—πŸ’β€β™€οΈ

yep, I've had to fake it quite a few times having forgotten people's names, events, my phone number, etc. I often wonder if it's the seizures, the meds, or being 46.

that is normal after I have a seizure I don't know my name. Once I had to go and get a test done my seizures were active and my mom had to fill out all the paper work, I didn't know my address, phone # or birthday etc... that's how bad my memory gets.

Memory loss: My name is Jeff Curtis and I've had short term memory problems all of my life! I average about 2 seizures a month and I carry my calender book 100% of the time because of my memory problem! I'm the family/neighborhood handyman, but if I'm on my way to my sisters to do some plumbing and have a seizure, then I'll have to open up my book to remind myself of where I was going and for what. I also carry it because on page 1 I have a big medic-alert written out, especially for some sometimes stupid police since they arrested me quite a few times for thinking that I'm a druggy. But just get him used to carrying a calender book. It makes you look like it's for business purposes. He doesn't have to tell whomever that he's carrying it for his short -term memory problems! Good Luck!!! PS- Miriam (in the photo) is my wife who has helped me with hundreds in our many years.
