The doc tried putting me back up to 300mg (from 250). I tried it for a few days, but decided I can't do more than 250mg. At any level I have have some short term memory issues and problems with spelling and repeating or missing words. At 300 I added in dreams that disrupted my sleep. The memory issues, spelling, and word issues got much worse. It became more difficult to read. My balance is off. My level of frustration is up. It's just tough to do my job and to be part of anything. It really built my stress level to the point that I think was more likely to cause seizures than to stop them.

My son has been taking Zonagran for a couple of years, after trying a couple of other anti seizure meds, Zonagran was the one with the least side affects for him. Unfortunately one of the few side affects are kidney stones, He has experienced 3-4 rounds of them and almost as bad as the seizures. My recommendation if you are taking Zonagran, double your normal daily water intake and add lemon juice as often as you can.

I tired that medicine for 6 days. I have no idea why i was begging to be taking off of it. Must have been some sort of bad side effect. It definantly did not agree with me what ever it was. It may work perfectly for you though.
