Single Parent Family Vaca
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I’m a single dad w/an 8 yr old son. Seizure free 2+ years, I know my triggers so now looking at travel ideas for some place warm tropical. We live in MT so hiking, biking, camping rivers etc... is what we do but how do we do a vaca. It feels like a need a rent a person to come with us in case something happens. Ideas?

I used to live on St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, but sadly they still haven't restored electricity to the whole island since hurricane last September. The tourist areas are ok, but as a resident, I was disturbed by the poverty, the corruption, the lawlessness and crime.
The resorts were nice.
With epilepsy, remember temp above 90 deg is a seizure trigger for a lot of us. The carribean is usually on the 80s with a nice breeze.
