How does this medication effect your sleep?
I've been on carbamazepine for most of my life which does slow me down somewhat, but know they've switched me to " carbamazepine ER" and it seems like my seizures are about the same frequency but have become more like grand-mal! My lifetime of seizures has always been complex-partial, but now I'm having 50% of mine as grand-mal. I used to never go to the ground with my complex-partial seizures unless an officer wasn't smart enough to read any of my medic-alerts and knocked me to the ground. I'm wondering about this "carbamazepine ER" though! I've been going crosseyed, blurred vision, dizzy, etc... since I started it.
I have always slept alright too with carbamazepine.
I've been on Carbamazepine for about 50 years, but this Carbamazepine ER is fairly new to me and I've had many negative side effects from it, but I don't know how you really weigh those negative side effects with the positive advantage of it since I only have to take my medication 2 times a day instead of 4 times a day.
Ive been on regular Carbamazepine for 13 years. I would say if it wasnt for my depression meds helping me sleep I do not think I would sleep. Before my depression meds I would wake up numerous times at night. It was hard to fall back to sleep sometimes.
