I had a Deep Brain Stimulator placed bilaterally to both sides of my brain in June 2014 at The Case Medical Center, University Hospital Cleveland. This is NOT an RNS because it is not reactive it is constantly sending neuro-stimulation to my brain where I need it, so as to stop the Seizures from starting in the first place. I was part of a clinical trial when I received this because It is not FDA approved for Epilepsy yet.
