i say 1 meds is too many. drs do not know your gut feeling. i take 2 meds 2x daily. i also take 2 vitamins in the day and 5 at night. i also get the loosely keto diet. try the keto diet sometime. it will kick your but for a week or so but you will get use to it. your seizures will less and you will lose weight.
I'm now on 5 different meds (1500 Keppra BD, 400 Lamictal BD, 10mg Frisium plus two different kinds of hormones at night - my kind of epilepsy is affected by my hormonal cycle) but my main side effect is fatigue. I know what it's like to lose concentration, it's very frustrating. I guess the best thing would be to speak to your neurologist? Some meds have more side effects than others. Tegratol and Epilim were so wrong for me, I had terrible side effects on each, but although I'm now on a lot of meds it's working (better). I feel your pain, I hope it gets better π
