A brief one, sometimes - especially if it’s been a nuts day
I take a nap at least twice a week or more but set my alarm for an hour and mute my phone so no one wakes me up. 🤣
I had 2 right temporal lobe lobectomies, removing 13% of dead brain tissue of the 18% of it. The reason they didn't remove all 18% is because some of it still had some action if it was removed it… read more
My daughter will be getting one of these prescribed. What side effects should I expect?
Anyone who has been/is on Briviact, how did you feel on it and did it work for you? I am taking it in combination with another seizure medication right now and I feel so drowsy and weird on it.
Hey everyone. My girlfriends son is 10 years old and suffers from seizures. Her and his father wanted him off the keppra. So we are slowly weaning him off. His father and him went to the neurologist the other day and they said she is going to up his Topiramate or trokandi. Well since we upped it to Another 50 mg like she said he is staying up all night and sleeping until the afternoon. I was wondering if we can have him take it during the day and if anyone else had this side effect. And how… read more
TobiScandova, that is quite a mix you have on your meds you are taking. Hope the side effects of those drugs are not as challenging when i was taking them.
I do take walks once in a while, they are good for me to do, some ave 4 tenths of a mile and some 2.9 one way, 5.9 round trip, I do not mind doing that, it helps me stay in ok health, my opinion
I just started this medicine and have been on it for only a month along with the other combinations of seizure medicatons i already take and i feel like all it does is make me want to sleep. Does anyone else have this problem or have suggestions?
I’ve been on Xcopri for about a year. I take 400mgs at night. Tiredness, dizziness, nausea and headaches. But it does help me.
I'm on 10 of Clobazam (Onfi, Frisium) and it makes me really tired. I take it at night but I'm still tired all day. I was wondering if anyone had success with reducing Onfi's side effects by splitting their single daily dose into twice daily doses (10 at night into 5 morning and night)?
Edit: obviously, I’ll ask my doctor before I do anything, just want to hear about your experiences!
I started taking onfi about 6 months ago and this is exactly what happened to me. They had me at 10mg at night but was still so tired during the day I would almost fall asleep at the table. I… read more
Hello, i'm Olivia, my parner has epilepsy and has only
recently been diagnosed (we are both 22). He has been
struggling with extreme fatigue and unable to leave the
house most weekends which isn't like him, struggling to
relax and really stressed. Would anyone have any advice
on how to support him or anything that could help? Any
help will be appreciated as we are both new to this so no
answers are wrong! We will trial and error until
something works even if it's a small difference. Thank
you
Sorry to hear about this, its never easy dealing with a new diagnosis. Other than the seizures causing the fatigue, and possibly needing more rest. I found adjusting my diet has helped with my energy… read more
I finally got my license back a year ago after achieving seizure control (yay) with Lamictal and Topamax, but my doctor thinks I'm having some undetected sleep activity and the Topamax causes severe anxiety for me, so she wants to switch to Xcopri. I started for a few days, but my vision was really weird, almost hallucinating, and I need to drive my kids around. I decided to stop until my next visit (I have sample packs). Also dreading the sleepiness, although I've found it got better after… read more
I'm up to 50 mg and my doctor wants to get me to 100 mg. Really tired is the only side effect I've had, but it's better if I fight through it rather than sleep. Seems like the tiredness gets a lot… read more
