Amino Acids In Seasoning Sauce
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

Anyone ever tried Trader Joes Coconut Amino Acid seasoning sauce (in place of soy sauce)? It says it has 18 amino acids and not sure if these may be a trigger for epil. hubby

Thanks

I had an idea they may be problematic. Shoot wanted to make the carrot hot dogs and you need something like that for it, might try the rice vinegar. Ever have any problem w/ that? thanks much (We are vegetarians)

Amino acids are like little land mines. Some can help seizures, others can make seizures much worse... and reactions to them vary widely. I stay away from them.

I don't know if that sauce has enough of anything in it to make a difference, though.

Hubby getting EEG Friday and neurologist does not want him to try anything new. You can make carrot hot dogs with this stuff.. they are suppose to be out of this world good. (We are mostly vegetarians and try to stay away from meat products)

Don't think something like that could be a cause of seizures though
