I have tried to what I feel to be a whole bunch of pain meds, or alternatives to pain meds. But I always find myself on the floor crying in pain, or if my family sees me. A trip to the ER, crying then they tell me to talk to my doctor. HAS ANYONE had any luck in the pain med department. If so, can you please tell me what it is so I can talk to my doctors. I feel like I'm running out of options. Thanks π
I remember reading something about gabapentin being useful for headaches in addition to what it does for seizures. I don't know for sure, though. I'll pray for you as well.
I get it u sometimes u feel like ur drowning, a man without a country, ur running out of options ur family suggestions seems to b they dont know
It seems thats why they say talk to ur doctor either or she or he will only know or get reffered by ur doctor to someone who can help u deal eith this. U search someyimes u feel like ur looking for a needle in a haystack, u will it u just have to believe, sometimes if u try to hard u create more strain on ur self u want to stop the migranes not increase them it could be as simple as a med change AEDs r funny that way side effects r a dime a dozen the list goes on and on it certainly does with generics cause their so many diferent ones. The main part is there on all, but they r all different in other aspects. I hope u find a sense of normalcy in all this and remember this is just a bump in the road u have get by and guess what u will TC
Gabriella gets butalbital/APAP/caffeine for her painful migraines from her seizures. I hope you find something to help.
Probably close to 10 years or more ago when I was still seeing my pediatric neurologist whom I saw for at least 30 years or so, began giving me Botox for my really bad headaches. My Mom remembers more about how bad those headaches were for me than I do. I don't remember them much. I now have TMJ & often deal with pain in my jaws, my left one more than the right, & am having to get physical therapy for that as well as dry needling where she goes in with a dry needle & pops what she calls the bubbles of the pain to get rid of them & then the next week we do it all over again. Now the physical therapist has recommended in me looking into asking oral surgeon about getting Botox for my jaw. The Excedrin Extra Strength is about the only over the counter pill that helps my jaw pain cause regular Tylenol doesn't help it, but the Excedrin is a little stronger & helps. So that's what's helped me. So you might ask about Botox. I hope you get to feeling better & I'll keep you in my prayers.
