I had major version on another tablet but was told that panic attacks and depression was a side affect, i was taken off that one. Now after several years my neuro decided to see if this new/Fycompa would be better. Im alot more emotional now. Not to mention i get very dizzy, my legs feel very heavy and my tongue feels fat.
Does anyone have these problems?
(My seizures are more random...grouped or just out of nowhere)
I'm on Epilim and Lamictal also
I’m on full strength of Fycompa plus 4 other meds. I was warn that it may change my emotions, but so far , I’m still myself.
My other meds could be blocking that side effect of the Fycompa
I’m not saying that I never feel down every now and then. I won’t let myself stay down . I find ways to get me feeling positive.again.
I am on fycompa right now. I am unable to take the full dose because I dont weigh enough, but I am on the 4 mg and it makes me so dizzy I cant do anything. Walker crawl have to lean on something. I have also noticed it heightens my emotions and I have to be careful to keep them in check (but I am still working on that) and that I cry a lot more.
This sounds like all the side effects I had when I was put on Lyrica. The side effects got worse as my neurologist raised the dosage. When I got up to 200 mg, my throat would feel like it was closing and I couldn't breathe. I would wake up scared with a really bad sore throat. I finally told my doctor that he had to lower the dosage, which he did to 150.
I'm on The full dose of Fycompa. I have no problems with the side effects. In fact my Dr. wanted my family to keep an eye on me for awhile. Because I'm on the full dosage, we were told that, if I start acting like I'm paranoid and not being my normal self ( another side effect ) to let them know. Then they would either bring my dosage down or try a different AED med. but so far I haven't been depressed nor paranoid.
