Can you be free of epilepsy and after years return back?

Yes! Definitely happened to me. I ended up retiring at the end of 2010 because of the return of seizures. Fortunately for me I had 30 years of Federal service under my belt. I don't know if aging or length of use causes the body to reject medications, for those of us who use medications. (I am assuming that you were using medications to control seizures.)

I was seizure free for 14 years, but still on medication. Had a seizure in 2015. : have had eye twitches and shakes but no seizures since.

Yes for sure!
I have had epilepsy since I was about 6 months old. I came off of medication when I was 10 as my seizures ceased. Then when I was in year 10 (so 16ish) I started seizing again and haven't stopped since (I am almost 25).

Yes, I had been seizure free for years and then all the sudden it came back. Very frustrating.

Yes. You can be seizure-free for years and experience what one neurologist of mine termed "break-through seizures".)
