A Question About Auras
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question đź’

I have complex partial seizures and for the last 18 years my auras have always been deaju vu and a sense of fear. Does anyone out there know if a tingling sensation down one side of my body could be an aura? If so I would be having a new type of aura. Thanks!

It could be related, I often experience a pain in my ankle when having an aura.

Thank you guys! I have talked to my neurologist. And since I have under a lot of stress due to a loss of a family member he said to watch it and to see if swiping my VNS magnet would help. Once the stress of all this goes away and I'm still having these feelings he would want to see me. But this tingling sensation is new. And while my seizure have changed my auras never did.

My aura feels like I am light headed . I just try to think about something else to help me . I hope the doctor explains to you why he won't put you back on Ritalian

I too have auras. Mine feel like a mild dizzy spell. Once I alert someone I might go into a seizure, they have to make sure I sit/lay down so that I won't fall. My normal seizures are the petimal ones. If my stress level goes up, then the seizure is stronger. Sometimes it's just an aura alone. Feel free to read my page.

You might want to speak with your neurologist/PCP about that feeling. There are other conditions (some serious) that can cause those symptoms.

My aura has changed over the years as my seizures have changed.
