Tongue Chewing
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

So many things about my seizures have changed and getting answers are difficult. Has anyone experienced tongue chewing? I will randomly catch myself chewing away at my tongue and I don't even realize how long its been happening. All i know is my tongue is sore.

I never just chewed on my tongue, but when I would go into a seizure, I would find bites all over my tongue. Today I have many permanent teeth marks all over my tongue 👅. It's hard for me to eat my favorite foods & junk foods, because they have a lot of salt in them. After eating a certain amount my tongue 👅 start to hurt and form like welts on it. That's when I know that I have to stop.
