hi, I am currently taking epilim but its not effective. i was offered lamotrigine by my neurologist but as i didnt know much about it i declined. but has anyone any advice or opinion please.
Daughter aged 6 is on liquid epilim, i was for years, did not agree with my pain killers so changed to Levetiracetam which suit me down to the ground nt even suffered any side effect at all. note to everyone here Vosene Kids Lice repellent 3 in 1 shampoo says the following on the back, "WARNING, Tea Tree aroma may affect epilepsy and acute asthma sufferers. Avoid contact with eyes blaa blaa blaa" spread the word folks!!!!
It was the first one i was put on when diagnosed with temporal lobe epilepsy but it did nothing for me.
Its worth a try.
What doesnt work for some may work for others
Every med is different for everyone.
I've tried both of those drugs and neither was effective, saying that I've tried almost every drug going and none have worked bar one which was withdrawn as it could cause tunnel vision. So they've diagnosed my epilepsy Drug Resistant. At the end of the day with drugs its a case of trial and error.
Iβm on 800mg of lamictal XR it helped a lot. I canβt judge mood
I take Lamictal 250 mg twice a day. It is not working for me. I have been taking it for two years. My anxiety levels have increased since I am on Lamictal which makes me have seizures. Drs said that it is a mood stabilizer, but I think is not stabilizing me. I want to change medication let's see what the dr. says.
