Todds Paralysis
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I was diagnosed recently with MS and after a seizure last Monday (which I lost memory of two days) I was told I suffered an episode at hospital with Todd's paralysis along with a prolonged posticital period. Anyone else ever been told this?

I had Todd’s Paralysis. Had several times I woke up too weak to initially walk. I didn’t know I’d had a seizure because it was in my sleep. Was still with ex when I got told I had Todd’s. Got up to go to bathroom and fell. Couldn’t walk. Crawled to bathroom. Managed back to bed but felt like one side of body was uphill. Face was drooping. I kept waiting for it to pass. Ten hours later I FaceTimed a medical family member. They fussed at me and said go to ER. Ex took me to ER and receptionists asked my name, then social. Didn’t know social, address, phone number. By this point I was walking but couldn’t walk straight. It was so bizarre. Doc said put your hands out, I had no idea what he was telling me to do. I’m so sorry you experienced that. I had wondered if confusion went with it so your post was helpful, thank you.
