Does Anyone Experience Sudden Dizziness And Nausea?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Frequently throughout the day I experience sudden dizziness and nausea. It doesn't matter what I could be doing, I could be standing, sitting, or even laying down and my head will start hurting. I become dizzy and slightly light headed, then I begin to feel nauseous. I normally just try to drink something cold (normally ginger ale) and stay still until the feeling goes away.

Hey there. I get this a lot but it wasn't related to my epilepsy at all. It really is a nasty feeling, it kinda feels like im floating around. I want to my GP and turns out I got a viral infection that ended up damaging my inner ear and caused irreversible damage so i will feel like this sometimes for the rest of my life. I also fall over for no reason at night, just walking along and I'll call over because I battle to keep my balance. Go set your GP and check.

Having your doctor find out if you have migraines. If so ask your doctor what you can do about them. I take nerontin for mine.I wouldn't suggest it to your doctor if their bad because neurotic is highly addictive but I've had migraines since childhood.

Is it perhaps anxiety you are experiencing? Try to focus on taking a couple deep breaths and centering yourself and avoiding panicking about the feeling.
