Hangovers
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

Last year when my docs increased my Lamictal and Keppra doses I suddenly couldn't even drink a glass of wine or beer without having a hangover the next day. I thought it'd resolve as my other side effects got better, but it hasn't. Has anyone else had this issue? Did it get better? Thanks.

I haven't had a hangover for years, but I do know when I do have a glass of wine it affects me much more compared to before diagnosis/keppra almost 3 years ago. Are you maybe dehydrating faster? Perhaps try drink two glasses of water per each drink. Hope life is treating you well!

Hi. I take both keppra 1000mg 2xday and lamictal 250mg 2xday and have not noticed any problems with hangovers.

I have been in lamictin for almost 2 years and I could handle my alcohol well like over 10 shots of jΓ€ger and no hangover the next day well. my local pharmacy stopped sticking my medication so i had to switch to lamitol which is pretty much the same thing. Friday night I went out with a friend and had 2 single brandy and cokes and I had the worst hangover I've ever had. Maybe change in medication. May sort of be similar
