I was diagnose with sensory epilepsy and night seizures. I never even knew there wasn't anything other than petit mal and grand mal seizures. ever since middle school I have fallen like my legs just disappear, i smell things no one else smells. since 1999ish i have had a feeling like my brain is being shocked (electrocuted) over and over. I also have never heard of sensory seizures. That kind of sounds like what happens to me when I have a seizure. When I have a seizure my eyes will start to blink really fast and I will fixate on one Item. I can normally hear what others are saying and remember bits and pieces but not most of what happened. Sometimes if I'm lucky my husband can pull me out of the seizure before it becomes full on

I have had those same symptoms it's as if someone has put a cattle prod on your brain very frustrating

I am not sure if this is what you mean by electric shocks in your brain but when I have my episodes now it kind of is a pins and needles feeling in my head accompanied by a static sound

I have a lot of similar symptoms, just the last 3 or 4 months have noticed the brain feeling like it's being zapped. Also smell things, it's hard to describe unless you've been through it

If you have PTSD or any kind of depression or problems like that then you might want to find a DR that knows about those type of seizures because they have to be treated differently then normal seizures
