Does Anyone Here Have A Seizure Where They Stay Semi Lucid But, Cannot Move, And Have Difficulty Breathing?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have seizures as described above, sometimes they are associated with social anxiety. It's extremely annoying and afterwards I'm very emotional just like I would be after a seizure. My doctor said it is a form of seizure and I also take an anti-anxiety for it as well.

I never had trouble breathing but whenever I had a seizure I heard everyone around me. My family always spoke to me during a seizure & told what was going on & what they were doing to help.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member~Sounds like partial onset sleep-paralysis, or a partial-onset seizure, but what do I know? You're lucky to have an anti-anxiety Rx, seems like dr.s in CA just assume every male under 45 just wants to get high. I've had social anxiety for 15 years and seizures for 4, and I can't get anything to treat the anxiety at all, not to mention something fast acting. Hope you learn more about your health, good luck with all things!
