Going Numb BEFORE A Seizure
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Have you ever went numb BEFORE a grandmal seizure? My right side of my body is going completely numb like I just had a grandmal seizure. The thing is, I have not had a seizure yet. Or I don't think so. I just woke up not too long ago.

The stare and not being able to talk are common, but answering when asked doesn't happen for me. After a few minutes, conversation returns, but with aphasia need to listen to what is coming out of my mouth.

These are seizures. You are low on your meds.

Contact your urgent care facility or er and explain the likelihood of the chance, they might do an eeg or an MRI, or take blood from you, so that they can say with certainty one way or another,
There was the 1 time shortly after I got married, and we where meant to have friends over for a BBQ, my arms went rigid and numb and shortly after I collapsed, the rest is a blank
