My new epileptologist is having me wean off of Keppra as I start taking Fycompa. I know it is relatively new. Does anyone have any experience with this med?
It was awful, hallucinations, I permenantly felt off balance as if I was drunk, couldn't walkin a straight line and my speech was slurred, when I fell against a glass window my Gp starting weaning me off straight away.
Good luck with it xx
My Dr. had me try Fycompa about 3 years ago. I couldn't take it because of the side effects. I would lose my coordination and my walking ability was very off balance. I did also notice that when I.tried doing simple things around the house my actions seemed like I was clumsy, dropping , and gently knocking things over, not being stable anymore.
I was started on it a few years ago. It took about a year for my doctor to get a healthy dose. At one point I went through a little bit of a depression but after my doctor adjusted my dose, I haven't had any problems with it. I was told too by my doctor that it causes drowsiness but I haven't really noticed that.
Thank you everyone! I appreciate everyone's feedback!
Yes I'm on it too. The side effect don't Interfere with my daily routines. I was warned by my Dr. , That because I'm on the highest dose on it, my family and I needed to keep an eye on my behavior. If I start acting very paranoid , it can be the side effect from the meds.
