My epiletologist wants me to have the latest version of the VNS. I had one implanted last June, 2015. I still have seizures, but they are fewer and do not last nearly as long. Is it worth the risk of an additional surgery & possible problems?
I have the original VNS in me. I am afraid to do the new VNS, because that one is suppose to be implanted in your head.
I have a VNS. I've had it for about two you years. The VNS worked well with a couple of drastic misses. We upgraded the VNS, the grand mals have been reduced to a limited level, and since I've reduced hospital visits, I feel better and relaxed.
I have the new VNS. Got it last year. It is not in my head. It is in the chest area. I like it.
There is some other machine that is implanted in the head but it is supposed to be a fairly easy surgery. Unfortunately, I cannot remember the name of the other machine.
