I say crank up the volume!!! Music gives me a good kick in the pants when I'd rather throw in the towel. A few of my top picks for dealing with the blues and frustrations of E are:

Gloria Gaynor's classic song, "I Will Survive" is awesome. A while back I wrote a spoof of the lyrics which I posted on this site - just do a search for Gloria Gaynor in the Q&A tab to find it if you're interested.

I also love the old song by Chumbawamba called "Tubthumping". The lyrics talk about getting knocked down and getting up again and not letting anything get you down. It's a simple and repetitive song, but sometimes that's all I need.

"Come with Me Now" by the KONGOS is great, too. Take the lines where he's saying "walk on with me now..I'm gonna take you down" and scream those lines at the d**mned E.

Anyone else have a favorite piece of music that inspires them? I'd love to expand my "Stomp on E and Get Happy" playlist. 😉

And honestly, there's no better attitude adjustment than coming to this site to engage with my team and all of you who REALLY understand what it's like to live with E. You all give me strength and encouragement. You're awesome!!

Music!
Put on an upbeat song...close your eyes breath deep and let the moment take you away!

By the end of the song I am ready to go.....or maybe another song or two....just cause.

I alway look back at the positive part of the day before my seizure. Whether it was an event , or you were just sitting around maybe watching TV or something.
