A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Does anyone else find it hard to accept help? I live alone and am very untrusting. A lot of people don't understand that it is hard to find an emergency contact in a new area. It is a big deal. I am having a hard time with being helped and don't want them to stop offering. Any advice on the mental mind screw of a situation.

The first thing that you may want to try , is get a hold of the Epilepsy Foundation in your state . They have a lot of info and resources. See if they can send you information or give you phone numbers and contacts.

I understand completely on trusting people. It's hard for me to have friends in person but I'm working on it. I'm looking into going to Women's Support Groups at my counseling center and combined Support groups in general there as well for anxiety and PTSD.
