How Many Of You See Flashing Or Blinking Lights Sometimes That Arent There?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

Sometimes I will be spacing out or not all the way able to focus or pay attention and see flashing or blinking lights in the corner of my eye like not what I'm looking at but somewhere to the side usually. It's usually Orange or red colored but sometimes yellow. Sometimes I'll go into a pitch black room and see the flashing lights. I see stars flashing and spacing out its been going on about a year. Before that I would just space out. I also see stars before seizures, and after. I don't go by that to tell if I'm going to have a seizure because of frequency.

I wish that none of us had to suffer any of it and that if we had to have then just the 1 seizure, then it disappears for ever

Sounds like the ocular migraines I used to get. Like looking through a tube or something where the center is clear but all around the edges are zig zags of flashing lights. Usually no headache so I never thought it was a migraine but that's what the doctor calls them. Caused by a swelling of the optic nerves due to migraine like activity in the brain. Can last seconds to hours. Sometimes I get a bad headache after sometimes not. Hope that helps. πŸ™
