I was on tegretol for a while. My former neurologist said if take for a very long time. It will cause liver damage. Talk to your doctor about your rashes.

My son only took one dose of the Tegretol on top of the Keppra that he was taking and I had to get him off it made him lethargic it was horrible but I noticed he had bumps like rash all over his legs just from that one time dose.

I been taking Brand Lamictal and brand tegretol 15 yrs with no problem and been sz free since taking,have no side affects or anything just live a normal life way we should plus worked at GM 30 yrs retired in 08 and love it, No skin or anything affects me

I take lamotrogine no and used to be on tegretol. I had skin problems with tegretol

I'm taking both lamotrogine & tegretol in varying amounts. From the start of lamotrogine, I've had incredibly irratable skin & rashes on my legs that look similar to when goosebumps. It's not constant, but at least once a week my skin will get so itchy with red bumps I'll want to scratch until I'm bleeding. I'm don't think Ive had any skin problems with Tegretol, but always check the side effects!
