Seizures And Brain Dam

Seizures And Brain Dam

Does having seizures for 5 decades or more cause brain d damage

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member said:

It all depends. You brain kills brain cells every time you seize. However, your brain also creates new brain cells every day. It all depends on how much damage has been done to your brain. What meds your on? And etc.

It depends on how strong, how many clusters, what kind of seizure, and how long the seizure or seizures lasted.

I've had my epilepsy for over 40 years and I still living a good life, with the challenge of me disorder. I also seizure on average at least once a day or 30 times a month.
