I had a car accident over 40 years ago and never seized until 12 years later. It's believed that the accident caused my condition. 20 years after that my neurologist diagnosed me being bi-polar. I am putting forth information rather than conclude that the seizures caused bi-polar, because I had never before been said to be bi-polar. After his diagnosis, he switched me from tegretol to lamictal, since lamictal is for both seizures and bi-polar.

There are times that I wonder about all the drugs
( my wife also has me on a tone of OTC) she checked
with the dr. first to make sure that they do not interfer
with my meds. I also read my BIBLE and study it
I see a therapest once a month and take meds for both
epilepsy and Bi-Poler then I have the tools I have been
given as well

I don't have bipolar but I have a seizure called Psychogenic seizures which are stress, emotional , depression seizures. It's similar to bipolar. Cause I suffer from anxiety an deep depression. I see a psychiatrist an a therapist
At times my meds don't work an my Psychogenic seizures flip over into the epileptic seizures an I don't be noticing an at times I miss doses of my meds an it's hard to verify which are which

I was on Lamictal for a wile but not any more I am on cymbalta depakote
but these do not help agenst epiepsy and you may want to see a psychiatrist
as well as a neurologist

I have Bi-Poler and Seizures I do know that stress can bring on seizures and Bi-poler brings on stress
the past week has been very stress full for me seizure on top of seizure my bi=poler has been on a run
