I am currently on lamotragine, tegretol, clobazam and midazolam but only for emergencies.
I have had two pregnancies, last one twins, while on dilatin. In all three pregnancies it was vital to work closely with my doctor, get as much rest as you can and make sure your diet is giving you enough nutrition for you and baby. There isn't much else you can do but those things should help. Also be aware that the stress of child birth may cause a seizure once you have given birth. I avoided this by telling the staff before hand that I wanted a few hours rest before getting up to have a shower. Once the children were toddlers I got baby gates for all inside doors so if I had a seizure then the children were safer. I did find once the kids were born I found if I had a seizure I would put them to bed while in the seizure lol. The main thing is to take normal logical precautions and you will be fine. My children are now in their late twenties and doing fine.
I've heard of ppl having children, its just obviously I wouldn't be doing it the conventional way :) so would be using a turkey bayster just been put off since I got interrogated about how I would protect the baby from harm while I am carrying encase I have a seizure.
I was scared of the med's and still young and single
I take lamitctal and zonaside for my seizures but I made my own personal choice and got my tubes tied
Sorry to hear this about you wanting a child, and cannot have one.
