your body might be accepting your meds differently now. I know after a year or so sometimes my meds need to be adjust because all of a sudden my body has decided its taking too much or not enough. ever changing bodies cause ever changing med dosages. so maybe that?
Sounds like you were in what is called status epileptic. I have been in this state twice in my life and woke up on a ventilator both times. It seems to me that your body has developed a tolerance to the Aptiom. This is usually the case with any medication I take for an extended period of time. Your doctor will probably, if they haven't already, increase your dose or add another medication to your regimen. I am currently taking 2 -800mg Aptiom twice a day, so I know that your dose could be increased. I'm sorry you are going through this. I know it's really terrifying to have to face our mortality in such an aggressive and unpredictable manner. I hope it helps just knowing I understand that feeling very well.
