I was just wondering if anyone has found there to be any significant differences between taking branded and generic medication. My old pharmacist used to give me Lamictal and Keppra but my new pharmacist has given me non-branded lamotrigine and leviracetam. I have taking them a couple of days and haven't noticed any differences at the moment but wanted to know if anyone else has had issues.
For me, I've had the Doctor write on the Prescription for " Brand Name Only".
I've had problems when I have taken generic Lamictal.
Good Luck
I always check my meds @ the pharmacy before I leave & make sure they read what the bottle says only bc of past mess ups like u. I never pay until I hear & read the bottle first. Good luck
oh there is. I'm not making up the fact I had seizures because I took generic. happened twice. two different meds. my neurologist said there's a slight difference.
My dr told me there is a difference and said if you been on brand you shouldn't switch over in one day to generic, I also heard people that switch over started having sz again don't mean to scar you either so b careful
i take both medicines both ways...generic sometimes. usually brand names. im on atleast ten different medicines
