Another way of managing acne is to wash your face twice a day and start using a moisturizer both in the morning and at bedtime. With time, this will teach your skin to stop producing so much oil. Just use a tissue throughout the day to pat off excess oil while your skin is adjusting. Scrubbing your face until it's red will only irritate it, so take it easy. Personally, I like CeraVe products and use a apricot scrub (gently!) once a week.

You're past your teen years so this trick may not work for you: start taking a zinc suppliment with a multi-vitamin/mineral suppliment that has copper in it. (Too much zinc can drain your body of copper-or so I was told) It cleared up my acne in a matter of weeks and I've been passing it on every since.
