I couldn't have come completely off my epilepsy meds or would have been hospitalized. So I was on the lowest dose of phenobarbital that would work and not be dangerous. I had 2 sons and breast-fed them both then went back on regular seizure meds after they were weaned. Now I am on Zonisamide, Vimpat, Lamotrigine, Clonazepam and rarely have seizures.
My dr put me on Lamictal because " its the safest for child bearing years" (he is older 60 yrs+ with yrs of experience) ive had 3 children and my youngest two where slightly premature at 35 and 37 wks, all were small/low birth weight but healthy. I hope everything works out for you. All of us are different so make sure to talk to your dr about it๐
I wasn't on epilim but my Dr and I decided for me to come off my medication as there was nothing any better for me to go on as they are all cladss D. All have a chance of pregnancy defects. I was on Topamax have been off them for a week and haven't felt better. This of course you'll have to talk to your DR about and chose what will be the best journey for you will be. Good luck
