My neurologist put me on Topamax a few months ago and so far, so good. Just drink a lot of water if you're worried about possibly getting them.

No kidney stones but pins and needles horribly in my feet and very difficult word recall! Sucked. I came off though because i was having breakthrough seizures. Not my drug at all.

I was on it for a year and a half, but was warned about the possibility ahead of time. Drink TONS of water. I drank 120 oz minimum a day.

Topamax seemed to work for my seizures but it also gave me the worst mood swings and blackouts. Only after my worst blackout did I find out about this effect. Everyone I've talked to that has been on it says the same thing. It completely changed my personality.
