Soo, I almost went 1 year seizure free (over 11 months), when I had a seizure while out with friends, then a nocturnal seizure not long after, this happened in March. For the last few weeks I just can't sleep. I struggle to fall asleep, wake up all through the night and then wake up stupidly early. Today I feel like it's hitting me hard, I feel mega fatigued, dizzy, can't concentrate or talk properly. It's making my day at work absolute hell! I'm worried that it might lead to a seizure. I take… read more

One of the tests I had to have was a sleep deprevation test cuz ur more likely to have one altho I know I am more pronewen tired - like any condition really. I use HALT and avoid getting:
H - Hungry
A - Angry
L - Lonely
T - Tired
And the Buddhist approach:
Sleep before you're tired
Eat before you're hungry and
Drink before you're thirsty xx

I haven't experienced any on controlled meds. I take 200 mg of lamotrigine as well. 150 in the am and 50 in th pm. My levels were too low my doc said. But they've always been low.
Its hard for sure. When I so have them, they're also nocturnal. Some folks recommended CBD. I'm scared to ask my Neuro though. She's a tough cookie. She might say no.

I woke up in a grand mal seizure, I did scan on brain at hospital, it was clear, then 3 weeks later went to Hoffman estates, I took a EEG sleep/wake also hypertension and mri, my head hurt so bad for almost two wks, caught sinusitis come june 2 returned to doctor and was told abnormalities were found on the temporal lobe, given lamotrigine and startn at 25mgs than up to 400 mgs by 12th week. meanwhile doctor hasn't said much but treatment, prevention to not having another. no work, swim, drive, nada, I had more blurred vision, speech mistakes, spelling, jitters, shakes, twitch in my sleep, stand up out my sleep and just look around, so medicine may be working some, hard to sleep still, find myself, crying, lost, misplace things, space out as to what I was going to do, god help us, praying for a miracle, a cure
