Migraines

Migraines

I have been waking up with horrible migraines like 5 out of the 7 days a week. I take Lamictal and Topamax. I know Topamax is supposed to help with headaches so that's weird. My Dr. had me do a study to make sure I wasn't have seizures in my sleep and I'm not. Does anyone else have this issue?

I was waking up to really bad headaches recently. My doctor did a sleep study and found I had apnea, my oxygen level at one point went down to 70% during the night. I now have a BiPap machine and have no headaches at all anymore. And BTW, I take Dilantin and Topomax.

I think I've been lucky with all the different meds I've been on over 40 years ,headache wise. If I've had lots of partial seizure clusters over 24 hours ( Normal & regular for me) I sometimes get a headache through the night

Yeah why should that matter most of the new ones I have tried have had awfully side effects and I couldn't take them. Like Onfi and Fycompa

It's worked great for me. I know a lot of people don't like it because it is an 'older' drug (though I have no idea what that has to do with it). I say if it ain't broke don't fix it, right?

Thea I just went for a sleep study and I sleep just fine they said and I don't have seizures in my sleep either ugh so frustrating sometimes when there's hope that I think they have solved it and they haven't. I haven't tried Dilantin yet. How do you like it?
