Problems walking in a straight line and sleeping a lot...I feel dizzy when first waking up and need to stay in bed 1 hour to acclimatize. Appetite is off too.

My doctor increased my dosage slowly so I never had that problem. We went up by 50mg every few weeks and only after I said I was not dizzy and in a haze anymore from the previous increase. It took a while but Vimpat is working better for me than my previous med.

Your very welcome Deb. It always good to k ow those side affects. Even thought everyone has a different reaction to the meds , based of their body chemistry. It Never hurts to know what the side affects are . Just I case they start experiencing those side affects.

Thanks Randy!
I'm noticing a collaboration of side effects here; would have been nice to have known that ahead of time...as opposed to being seizure-free I guess I'm supposed to be grateful. And I am! Nothing worse than seizures to mess your life up...

It was about 4 or 5 yrs ago when I was on Vimpat. I'm no longer on it . I'm on Fycompa, Carbatrol and Keppra , present day.
