Do the neurologists submit info to the dmv telling them you have seizures/are seizure free, or are you just not allowed for your own safety and the safety of others around you? In the US? In other words, if I do drive for any reason do I have to worry about my plates getting run and me getting locked up?

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member push for your goal of riding that motorcycle again if you wish! Never give up on yourself and submit to your disability IF it within your power to do so. Therein lies your strength.."In order to carry a positive action we must develop here a positive vision. Dalai Lama SEE yourself doing it, create that vision for yourself! It might take a few years, perhaps several, but each day when you go out and look at that bike, tell it, " WE will be together..Soon!" You go girl!

Mine are refractory too. In the past two years, five days seizure free in a row is my best. Hubby and Mum keep going on about me looking forward to getting my licence back, but I've already accepted that this is an improbability. More walking, more exercise.

Connie, I went more than two years unable to drive and before that I was stupid enough to do a lot of driving when I shouldn't have. Face that you probably need to not drive for now, both for your safety and that of others, but make it a goal to gain enough control that you can again.

in Texas, it is 1 year seizure free. You need to call your local dmv. they can tell you all rules and regulations of your state. My state suspended my DL twice due to having seizures while driving. there are fees. just find out..

In Mass. I believe it is 6 months seizure free. I was at my Neuroligist today and saw a map. Every state is different.
