When I am talking to my dad and I forget a word he would say something like " figure out what you're gonna say and then say it" as if my thought was not fully formed. Tell your parents to do some research into your problem and they would see the side effects of both having epilepsy and the meds you take. Both cause memory loss, and the meds can cause you to get very angry. These are the same problems I have. I explain them to my wife. It is not easy living with this but be strong.

You have gotten some real good advise but everyone is different. It depends what med you are on. No matter you will have side effects . And family members have to come to understand the disease. I never had that problem. My family was over protective.
