I've dealt with this for years.
Thank you everyone for letting me know I'm not the only one. Randysherman, I am the same way! I normally stay awake until my daughter is off to school then I have a newborn so I just have to nap when I can and when my body decides to shutdown. On weekends I do the same as well, just stay up until I fall asleep.
Since my med change tonywgretal I usually fall right to sleep around 1030pm. I have drowsy spell in the afternoon and gotta kick myself to keep going
I've been having problems with sleeping for years now, something's it can simply be the anti convulsion medication that's causes a side effect of the lack of sleep. In my case I've been given medication to help with sleep however this has not been working of late and can be a warning with my epilepsy, I can go days without being able to sleep but I get ill from it.
Try talking to your doctor to see if they can give you anything to help. Good luck x
I have trouble sleeping also
Welcome to the site Krystal. That's me 24/7. Many of us struggle with sleeping problems. I do partially blame it on a certain type of EEG. I was in between my adolescence - preteen yrs. three different times, that I remember , I had to stay awake for 24 hrs., until my appt. my mom would catch me falling asleep and would wake me back up. There would be many thing we would do thru late night thru the morning and possibly afternoon. Doing things to keep me awake. The other thing I blame my sleeping problems on is, my brain. My thoughts won't stop. That too make it hard to sleep.
Now days I'm a major Night Owl or Night Hawk. On school days I don't go to bed until my kids are on the bus. Weekend I go to bed when ever I'm ready.
