Topiramate/any Other AED And Nightmares
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Has anyone else been experiencing a higher rate of nightmares since being put on medication? I've been on Keppra, Lamictal and now Topiramate and I'm having nightmares at least once every night now.

Not nightmares, just very strange and longer dreams. I can actually wake up and then fall back asleep and continue with the same dream. Very weird.

Stressed seems to be my zone.. Lol. So I know it's difficult. Anytime you need to talk..just drop me a line. I've been very busy lately, but I'm gradually making this site a habit. 😃

Just go to bed. My sleep is like a different life at night that I have no control over. Lots of epileptics have them with no commonality in Meds.

Since starting an add on which is lamictal ive been having nightmares every single night not just one but many. Never had nightmares before. I dread going to bed now.

I wouldn't call them nightmares, just really weird and intense dreams when I started Lacosamide/Vimpat. They seemed to have gone away now that I've been on it for a while.
