Has Anyone Ever Hired A Personal Driver?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Has anyone ever hired a personal driver for like taking you to work, or take you home after your shift? I have tried to work with voc rehab and they cannot help me because where i live, there are no public transportations so i was wondering if anyone has tried hiring a personal driver to take them to work or where else they need to go? also if you have how much did you pay your driver? I thought around 20 dollars a day plus gas. Every two weeks that would be 200 dollars plus gas.

I highly recommend uber. I feel like it's nicer and a lot clearer than taxis. I had a seizure while using uber once. The driver not only took me to the hospital bed got my ID and emergency contact information but called the hospital and me the next day to make sure I was okay. He didn't charge me for the ride but I insisted on giving him a nice tip afterwards. It's good to know their's people in the world that nice. I've taken uber a lot more than a normal taxi service now.

LOL. They are a taxis service. Just not in my area. I asked my taxi service how would they do this for me and they told me if i was to get a discount it would be as low as 40 to 50 dollars a trip. From home to work, and from work to home. I would not make any money at all if i went with oregons taxi service so I think i have to find someone that would do it under the table. Pay 20-30 dollars a day.

I'm agree with Lauren. I use Uber to get to work every day. I found that the cost is drastically less than taxis.
