Brain Surgery Again
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi guys recently my doctor ask me about a second brain surgery because after having right frontal lobe removed. I learned that the old surgery was operated on the wrong said and they don't even do that surgery that I had anymore and my new neurologist explained. Now they do a laser surgery but the first surgery cause me to loose alot of my cognitive functions.

Get a second opinion do your research as well if you don't feel comfortable don't make a move being that a outdated surgery was performed on you

Research, research, research!
Ask to see your scans and what changes happened between now and surgery.

After 4 surgeries we are looking at needing another to remove some tissue that might have been back further than they went. (3 surgeries were due to infections) Still after it all I am considering the surgery again, seizure free is a awesome idea
