Question For People In Wisconsin Going To Medical College Of Wis & Froedtert Hospital
So i have been working on all my test to see if i can have the brain surgery
this is not my normal Dr i am seeing and i live over in Kenosha Wis so i have to get a ride out to the Millwaukee area
i am afraid that something is going to go wrong
I have not heard anything bad about them but it is a college
anyone have info on the hospital
Many Hospitals like this are attached to a College. I would do research on your Surgeon when you are looking at Brain surgery.
I cannot comment on Froedtert, but I had my brain surgery and testing at the University of Minnesota campus with successful results! The Neurology and Neurosurgery clinics are 1A and 1B down at the UofMN. Met the surgeon only a few times before the surgery. Look up the medical people you are being sent to and who are to do your surgery on the campus web sites.
When I went down for the pre-surgery meeting with the doc I brought my sister with me for another set of ears, and had my folks linked in via chat on the cell phone. I had prepared a list of questions I wanted to ask, and my sister and folks asked more questions than I did.
I suggest looking into the type of procedure they are proposing for your case. Hold the doc to the fire and ASK what the results for this type of surgery tend to be. Ask about risks, ask questions!!
